Building Welcome Sequences That Actually Convert

A welcome sequence is the automated conversation that fires when someone DMs you for the first time or messages after following. It's your chance to make a strong first impression at scale.

Message 1: Thank them and deliver immediate value — a free resource, a quick tip, or a genuine acknowledgment. No pitch yet.

Message 2 (24 hours later): Share a story or result that relates to their likely goal. Keep it short and link to one piece of content.

Message 3 (48 hours later): Soft CTA — book a call, join your list, or check out your offer. By now they've received value and trust is higher.

Measure completion rate and click-through at each step. Drop-off between message 2 and 3 usually means message 2 was too salesy or too long. Tighten copy and test again.
